On average, we recommend scheduling an appointment once every two years to ensure your eyes are remaining healthy. If you have been diagnosed with an eye condition, however, your optometrist may recommend scheduling an appointment more frequently to monitor.
During your comprehensive exam, we will review your patient history, visual acuity, perform preliminary tests, check your prescription and evaluate your eyes’ overall health.
Here at Williams Lake Optometry, we are proud to offer pediatric eye examinations. Children should have their first eye exam around the age of six months. If the first exam finds that their eyes are healthy, then an annual recall is set to remind you when your child is due again.
Although many schools offer annual vision screenings, they are not complete eye exams. For this reason, you should schedule yearly or bi-yearly examinations to ensure that your child’s eyes are healthy, developing as they should be and that they can see clearly.
At Williams Lake Optometry, we are here for you in the case of an emergency. There are times when you may need immediate care for your eyes. Any time that you experience trauma to your eyes, you need to be seen. If you get anything in your eye, especially chemicals and foreign objects, you should be seen immediately to limit the potential damage to the eye.
Williams Lake Optometry offers contact lens fitting appointments. Contact Lens can be a great vision correction option for many different prescriptions. Visit our contact lens page for more details.
Vision Therapy can be an effective treatment method for many different types of visual dysfunctions, learning-related vision problems, and post traumatic brain injury recovery.
During your assessment we take a look at each of your 17 visual skills individually to determine whether or not vision therapy is the right treatment plan for you.
